Ready to experience the rugged Canadian landscape? There's no better way to see it than in an RV or by camping! Here are three campsites you can stay at on your next Canadian Rockies adventure through Jasper National Park.

Whistler's Campground is located a very short 5-minute drive from town and is adjacent to Wapiti Campground, the Athabasca River and many lovely walking trails. This campground is a good option for those wanting to stay nearby the town.
Tent and RV sites
Must book in advance through Parks Canada
Open summer only
Powered and unpowered sites
New facilities as unfortunately the campground was affected by the 2024 Jasper Wildfire
Wapiti Campground is across the road from Whistler's Campground, alongside the riverbank of the Athabasca River and is a good option for those wanting to be close to town.
Tent and RV sites
Open in summer and winter (check the Parks Canada site for opening dates)
First-come, first-serve in winter only, must book in advance through Parks Canada for summer

Snaring Campground is a great option for those who were unable to make a reservation in advance or want to play their trip by ear. It is approximately a 10 minute drive from the Jasper townsite, headed towards the Jasper eastern park gates.

Walk-in sites (you must park your car in a designated parking spot and walk to the pitch site)
The Overflow Campground is nearby if there are no available sites upon arrival
The Miette Campground is located approximately 10 minutes from the Jasper eastern park gate and is very close to the Miette Hotsprings (a destination well worth visiting!). It is more secluded than the other camping sites listed but is located in a dense area of forest, making a very beautiful site. Note, there are no stores or gas stations located nearby.
